Description

Nexus Personal Desktop is a client software that makes secure multi-factor authentication and the use of digital signatures easy. The solution can be deployed online, on desktop computers, on Windows server applications as well as via a terminal server or via Windows RDP (remote desktop).

Nexus Personal Desktop is based on PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) technologies. The electronic identities (eID) required for this are stored either on a computer as a software token, on a smart card or on a hardware token.

Versatile in use

Nexus Personal Desktop simplifies secure authentication for users. In conjunction with a smart card, it is sufficient to enter the automatically displayed PIN to log on to the computer.

The Nexus Personal Desktop client software can be used for:

  • Two-factor authentication for desktop applications
  • Remote desktop or VPN connections
  • e-commerce and online banking
  • digital signatures
  • Secure electronic services from public authorities and companies

Lean, quickly implemented solution

The lean solution is quickly installed locally. The required eIDs are provided and managed centrally via a web portal. Nexus Personal Desktop is compatible with the most common web browsers and requires no additional plug-ins.

Nexus Personal Desktop can be used in conjunction with Nexus Digital Access, which enables users to access digital resources remotely. As Nexus Digital Access supports both Single Sign-On and Identity Federations (SAML2.0), users only need to authenticate once to use all available applications.
